Moving

We are moving to Ft Collins, Co. Until the new house is ready we are camping.  This week is at the Golden Eagle CG near Ft. Carson.  Next week we will be near Westcliffe and there should be some pictures.  No electric there so pictures will be after the trip which includes a music festival.

It has been hot some days and sorta chilly others,

April 28, Monday

This is our last day here, since it is still windy we took a drive to highway 279.  It was a great drive, we saw rock climbers on what is called the wall.  We also saw some petroglyphs and dinosaur tracks.  After our ride we went into Moab again.  I parked and Sandy and Jim walked on the Midland Trail which follows a creek. Next time they visit they will take their bikes.  They weren't sure if the path was worth riding on, but it was really nice, went farther then they thought.  They did not take all of the trail available.  We headed back to the campground and started getting ready to leave tomorrow.  For now there are a few sites at the campground available.

The rest of the trip will be driving home.  So, that is all for now.

Day 7, April 27

Another very windy day.  I went down to the parking area again and Jim and Sandy rode their bikes.  But it was really to windy to go far.  So we went back to,the campsite and hing out.

Windy Days,

Day 6 April 26

Pretty cloudy and sprinkling off an on.  I drove to Moab and the. sandy and Jim took showers at the Moab Aquatic center.  Moab is a busy place today, plus, the car show is this weekend.  A big event for this small town.  Some groceries were picked up and Sandy and Jim went to church.

Back at the campsite it was dark very early do to the clouds and rainy weather.  It rained really hard late that night.

Here are some pictures from this trip,

Day 5 Morning Glory Natural Bridge

Pictures

day 5 Hiking to Gory Morning Natural Bridge

Today I drove a few miles to the pakrking lot of Negro Bill's hike to the Morning Glory Natural Bridge.  This hike is about 5 miles total with many creek crossings and a few rock scrambles.

Enjoying this trip,

Sugar

Day 5 Hiking

First thing to mention, red rocks means red soft sand.  When this red soft sand gets wet you have red dirt.  A good example from Sandy. Sometimes the sand looks brown, but it is pretty much pinkish.   This picture is after the numerous creek crossings on today's hike called Negro Bill's Hike
