July 4th in Haines K

While I hung out here at the Hitchup Sandy and Jim were very busy enjoying the small town festivities. Here is what they did! A parade, mud volley ball, pie eating contest, stake pounding and finally a fire hose contest, first with The Volunteer Fire Department and then with the kids of the area. A good time was had by all. Later today is music and fireworks ending about 11 PM.
